lake compounce: We are bringing our children (ages 10 and 17) to San Diego. We are planning on going to Sea World and Balboa Park (a friend told me to be sure to check out Balboa Park - not sure what else is there). We love the ocean, boating, hiking, animals, history, ... etc. I would really appreciate any other ideas of great things to see or do in San Diego. Hornblower has the best one and you'll get to see: Point Loma, lots of oceans animals, submarine base, Coronado Bridge, Coronado Island and many more sights from a comfortable 3 deck boat. Leaves from the Embarcadaro area along North Harbor drive about 5 times a day. Many great photo opportunities to see San Diego from an Ocean perspective.
