We are visiting our son next month and would like to find a decent hotel near a BART station so we can visit our son who leaves across from Balboa Park. We would like a short commute as we won't have a car. Hoping to be closer than the airport or the financial district.|||Sorry, there isn't any hotels or places you would like to stay in or around Balboa Park. But if you stay in Downtown, there is a bart station there and you can catch the bart to the Balboa Station, it's just a 15 to 20 ride. Try to travel during the day, I don't think you would want to walk around the area at night. Not the safest area, but not the worst in SF.
